Clearview Library Now Offers Online Crafting Classes

Clearview Library District Database Spotlight, News

The Clearview Library District now offers Creativebug, an online platform that hosts art and craft classes and resources.

With a Clearview library card, community members will have unlimited access to thousands of online art and crafting tutorials, including watercolor, paper art, knitting, crocheting, quilting, lettering, ceramics, and baking.

Creativebug is a vast repository of art and craft video tutorials,” said Casey Lansinger-Pierce, Public Services Manager. “Each tutorial is taught by an artist and features supply lists, a transcript of the video, a discussion forum, and the ability to connect with others that have completed the project before.”

In addition to classes, Creativebug also contains a pattern library and inspiration feed.

“The projects range by skill level. Creativebug is endlessly inspiring,” Lansinger-Pierce said.

This new resource complements existing library programming.

“Knowing our community responds well to the creative programs we offer, we felt Creativebug would be a perfect addition to our list of resources,” said Lansinger-Pierce. “Acquiring Creativebug helps to provide an outlet for creative expression.”
