The Clearview Library District was awarded $10,000 in grant funding from the Clearview Library District Friends & Foundation.
The Friends & Foundation is a non-profit organization that works to expand the reach of the library through private funding and community support.
“The Friends & Foundation furthers the Clearview Library District mission,” said Director Ann Kling. “We are fortunate to have such a giving group of people as our partners.”
The organization annually reviews grant requests from library staff for funding consideration. This year, support areas include:
-
$1,000 for new technology tools for programming in collaboration with Weld RE-4 schools
-
$2,000 for Children’s books
-
$2,000 for intergenerational programming
-
$5,000 for a print edition of the library newsletter to reach all district households
“The Friends & Foundation raises money to gift to the library, so that they can provide programs or items that fall outside of the operating budget,” said Friends & Foundation President Jennifer Whittington. “We like to think we are helping make our good library great by supporting unique projects.”
