The library is starting a new film-screening club for adults at the library. We’ll showcase films primarily from our in-house and online collections, including movies from our premier film and TV show streaming service — Kanopy.
“Based on feedback from our Strategic Plan survey, our community is interested in more adult programs that center on arts and culture,” said Public Services Manager Casey Lansinger-Pierce. “We’re excited to try this new series for our film lovers!”
Our first film club selection will be a screening of The Rider and the Wolf, directed by Nathan Ward at 6:30 p.m. October 17.
The Rider and the Wolf tells the story of Colorado native, Mike Rust, famously known in cyclist circles as “Mike the Bike.” Mike was a leading innovator in the early days of modern mountain biking until he disappeared without a trace in a remote part of Colorado.
Through the film, explore his life, his impact on the mountain biking community, and his disappearance.
The screenings are free to attend with refreshments and snacks provided.
