Weld RE-4 School District students will come together to present innovative projects and ideas at the district’s annual Innovate RE-4 Learner’s Showcase on Thursday, Feb. 28.
At the event, we will host a table full of tech toys that encourage critical thinking, exploration, and creativity. Visitors will be able to control a BB-8 Sphero, an app-guided Star Wars droid robot; use the Makey Makey Invention Kit, which turns any object into a keyboard; or use color to code an Ozobot, an interactive coding game.
“The Innovate Showcase is the perfect opportunity for the library to engage the community with our cutting-edge technology and provide information on the STEAM programming we offer at the library and schools,” said Public Services Manager Casey Lansinger-Pierce.
The student presentations are an impressive showcase at all grade levels.
“It has given me a chance to see first hand the sheer talent and inspiration coming out of the district,” Lansinger-Pierce said.
The Learner’s Showcase is one of many opportunities the library and school district work in collaboration to benefit and enhance student learning.
